The reinforcement of the membrane
- non-woven polyester fabric
- biarmato (double-reinforced, non-woven polyester fabric and glass fibre mat)
- glass fibre mat
The influence of the reinforcement on the thermo-mechanical behaviour of the membrane
Possible problems with shrinkage at high and low temperatures and the banana effect on membranes reinforced with non-woven polyester fabric
- The solution: composite reinforcement
A comparison of membranes:
 - APP

- Composite multi-layer with differentiated mix and composite reinforcement
The finishes of the faces of the waterproofing membrane and relevant warnings for installation

The elements of the build-up:
- the barrier vapor
- the thermal insulation
- the waterproofing layer
The importance of the connection to the support and between the layers and the relevant influence on the general behaviour of the build-up
The new torch-bonding system for thermal insulation on the rusticated membrane PROMINENT without using the molten oxidised bitumen boiler
Elements that have a negative influence on the behaviour of visible layers, causing flaws:

- breaks
- the layer and insulating panels lifting

Protecting the waterproofing layer from foot traffic:
- protecting the layer from foot or road traffic
